A trip to the North Carolina mountains

This was our third trip to the Meadowfork Campground. We discovered this place a few years ago when looking for a cabin near Nantahala River whitewater rafting. We enjoyed the location so much, that we went back again for a trip with Mike's mom & sisters. On that trip we hiked up to the top of Max Patch, and Mike proposed. I was so excited to hike back up Max Patch & take a bunch of pictures with Mike on the top. The weather did not cooperate.

The rain was so intense, but we did make it to the top. Although, we couldn't see anything and we just wanted to get back down as quick as possibly to get out of the rain.





Too bad Saturday wasn't as nice as Friday. Here are the beautiful Fall colors we enjoyed when we arrived.


The rain did stop for a while so we could play badminton & I could take pictures of this baby bug

And even if it rains all day, it's always fun to play games inside cabin
